Car Fire Blankets
Advanced Rescue is an authorised dealer and instructor trainer for the Car Fire Blanket.
Fire blankets are made using fire resistant or fire retardant materials, in this case fibre glass and Kevlar. It s a very effective method of smother the flames in a small fire, cutting off the oxygen supply and preventing the fire from spreading whilst also isolating a lot of the toxic fumes and hazardous flames and substances in the process. It usually even works well against electric car fires! So these are often the first choice especially when water is short, or in confined area (like parking garages or next to property and houses).
